Right to be happy

​While walking through Terminal 3 at Delhi Airport, I stopped at the Heads Up For Tails shop to find something special for my dog, Sultan. I was heading home after a week away and knew he would be waiting for me, so I picked up their Dog Ice Cream Mix to honor his Right to be Happy. It is a simple idea: our pets deserve more than just a full bowl of food; they deserve moments of pure joy that make their tails wag a little harder.


Back home, making the treat was easy. I just added water to the mix and popped it in the freezer. When it was finally ready, Sultan’s eyes lit up. He didn't just eat it—he truly relished every lick. Watching him focus so happily on the cool, creamy treat was the highlight of my day. It was a vivid reminder of why these small, frozen rewards matter so much to our loyal companions.


Sultan’s empty bowl proves that delight is a right, not a luxury. That single, frozen treat was the perfect way to let him know that his happiness matters just as much as his health.

The Unbroken Bond

Eight years have passed, yet the lingering scent in the room still carried the phantom warmth of his tiny body. Leo. He wasn't just a dog; he was the heartbeat of our home, a pint-sized Dachshund overflowing with affection. He was my shadow, always by my side, a tiny, devoted sentinel. Those deep, soulful eyes understood everything, offering silent comfort and promising that all would be well. The dynamic with Sultan, our Pitbull, was complex. Sultan respected Leo as an elder, often seeking his warmth, but Leo, endearingly jealous, would often shift away, maintaining his regal distance. This quiet dance continued until Sultan, almost overnight, sprouted in height. His passing left a profound silence. Eight years later, it still echoes. # The Golden Shower- Kani Konna Poovu & Saleem

  The Kani Konna Poovu or the  Golden Shower flowers   or  the  Cassia Fistula (scientific name) blooms as the time for Kerala’s harvest festival, Vishu approaches, which falls on April 14 every year.  It is observed as the New Year falling on the Vernal Equinox. The  Kani Konna Poovu  is popularly used as the part of the “ Vishukkani ”, the ritual first thing seen on Vishu . The  Kani Konna Poovu  is also Kerala’s state flower. So, at The Health Village   in Aluva, Kerala, Valsa & the other staff enthusiastically arranged for the  Vishukkani to be kept in the office.
